Dear DMSS Users,
According TO the information released BY Google,
Due to the upcoming changes IN Google’s push FCM policy, the old push API will be stopped on June 20, 2024. To ensure that DMSSAndroid users can continue to receive push notifications normally, DMSS will upgrade to use the new Google push API. Please find the details below reasons for the Change: Push API Upgrade: Google requires upgrading from the old push API to the new push API by June 20, 2024.
Impact and Solutions: 1, Notification Reception Issue: Since the push APIs are integrated into the device, it is not possible to upgrade the device program on all sold devices. Therefore, after June 20, the interface for devices with the old push API to the Google service will cause you to potentially not receive notifications from devices,
2, Solution: To resolve this issue. The DMSS app and platform have been upgraded for compatibility. The device will use the old push API to first push notifications to the relay server, which will then use the new push API to deliver notifications to users. You only need to upgrade DMSS to the latest version after June 20 and re-subscribe to notifications. The specific measures are as follows.
Upgrade to the latest version of DMSS. o Re-subscribe to device notifications. (Steps: DeviceDetails-Notifications-Re-subscribe to alarm typo If you are currently using DMSS version V199.713 to subscribe to device notifications, your devices will not be affected and will continue to receive notifications normally, Thank you for your understanding and support!
Best regards, The DMSS Team
